The Jewish roots of Christianity

Highlighting: OFF ON

Dear Friend,

Shalom Haverim (Hello friends)!

Please find the enclosed “Promised Messiah” pamphlet, which started out to be a bookmark for our “To the Jew First” missionaries. Todd Baker, our head missionary, shared his vision for this missionary tool with John Parsons, author of our Levitt Letter’s Hebrew Lesson. Then the project blossomed into a Bible and Hebrew lesson for both Israeli and American alike! I am enclosing the full-color pamphlet for you along with the “Messiah” bookmark that inspired it. Please share them with friends and family alike.

I regret having to have to continually update this cancer situation I’m battling, but I think our audience deserves to know. The fact is it’s going like any other lung cancer—very debilitating. The only part I really regret is that I probably won’t be able to keep up much longer. Difficulty with broadcasting involves an obvious fatigue in my voice and I guess, down the line, my energy level, too.

You certainly have been wonderful prayer warriors, and if that is the choice of the Lord—a real healing—then I look forward to it. Beyond that, I will not leave this post until I have to.

Next to going to Israel myself, which I was unable to do this time, I enjoy hearing my wife Sandra describe the wonderful scenes of the Sea of Galilee as they appear at this time of year. There is just nothing in this world like springtime in Israel! I listen jealously to her luscious descriptions of the newness of the land, the flowers blooming and the desert green after the winter rains.

I am also reminded of the newness and freshness of our salvation. We have been in the dry and hot summers of our lives, maybe not even knowing that we are thirsty for the Word of God. Then when we come to know Yeshua, our Messiah, there is a freshness and cleanness in our lives that is just like spring.

Our Discovery Tour, scheduled for June 6–16, is filling up quickly. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to experience our “dig for a day,” where you will join archaeologists in uncovering centuries-old treasures. We’ll enjoy warm fellowship, delightful food, relaxing accommodations, and the kind of inspiration that only God’s Promised Land can offer!

Orlando in the fall! Our friend, Harvey Zion, a Messianic Believer who has helped with our tours in the past, will be leading our tour of The Holy Land Experience, September 1–3. I really recommend this wonderful Biblical theme park with its theatrical presentations and biblical displays.

Our fall tour schedule is as follows: The Deluxe Tour (Israel Only) is scheduled for October 29–November 8; Grand Petra (Israel & Petra) October 29–November 12; Grand Athens (Greek Isles Cruise & Israel) October 24–November 8; and our all-inclusive Ultra Grand Tour (Greek Isles Cruise, Israel & Petra) is October 24–November 12. To request a brochure on any of these tours, please call Tony at 214-696-9760 during regular business hours or 1-800-WONDERS (800-966-3377) anytime or visit www.levitt.com, where you can download a brochure from the website, or request a brochure be sent by mail.

And now for a word from my wife, Sandra.

One of the highlights of our tour is the boat-ride on a first-century model of a boat on the Sea of Galilee. The Sea of Galilee is only 7 miles wide by 14 miles long, and yet 18 of Yeshua’s 33 miracles are within view of one spot. We see so much from our little boat. On the east side of the Galilee is the Golan Heights; on the west is the town of Tiberias; south is the Jordan River baptismal site; and to the north is Capernaum. Quite impressive! We are on a calm body of water, and we can see how calm it is one minute and choppy the next. Kind of like our lives. We are going along on a calm sea, and the next thing we know, the water is rough. But through it all, God is faithful and is with us. I can always see how Yeshua would have walked on the water and how He would have held out His hand for Peter. Talk about visual lessons in our lives. It just does not get any better than this.

As Zola and I ride this ancient-looking boat over the years in the changing waters, we know we are in God’s hands. We have good days and then not-so-good days. Zola has been a real inspiration to me and to all who have seen him during this cancer saga. He still feels that he is doing what God wants him to do and will stay “at his post” until he gets further orders. He has made at least half a dozen programs and is doing some work each day. As Zola says, this faith, when put to the test, really works. It is not easy, but with God, all things are possible.

We have been blessed with good family and friends. Thank you again for the prayers. People ask what they can do for us. To know you are praying for us is evident in our daily walk with God.

Your messengers,
Zola Sandra
Zola and Sandra

P.S. Thanks for staying with us in your prayers and financial support as we wait with open minds to see where God’s will is going to take us next. Please pray that Zola, his son Mark, the ministry staff and I glorify God in our ongoing efforts to minister. And “pray for the peace of Jerusalem.”
