Highlighting: OFF ON

Dear Friends,

Some say global warming will be our undoing in no time, while others claim that the freezing of the financial markets will bring us down in the not-too-distant future. Recently, “pestilence”—an Olde English term for infectious disease—drew attention away from our president, who some believe is infecting American culture with a “post-Christian” vision. Some conservative Believers wonder if Obama’s reign is the beginning of the end, a sign of a bad moon rising.

You probably recall various forms of destructive processes described in the book of Revelation, which we will consider in the upcoming prophecy TV series we just filmed, The Dark Prince: When The Devil Has His Day. Revelation prophesies that bad news comes at the close of the good news. Various plagues, social betrayal, economic upheaval, last-days’ government realignments, and the ravages of wars precede a climactic Battle of Armageddon, fought against armies from east of the Euphrates River (Rev. 16:12–16). These scriptural stories are the focus of The Dark Prince.

Can a God who describes The End at the beginning control it? The Bible says He can. “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” (Matt. 24:35) The author of Daniel talked about God having appointed “the end of time,” when human plans and schemes would be replaced by the purposes of God (Dan. 8:19).

Many people are asking if the aforementioned social, economic, health, and spiritual issues foreshadow prophesied events in the immediate future. It’s interesting to track Middle East events and compare them with the biblical account. A valuable resource for deciphering this intrigue is the Middle East Media Research Institute (www.MEMRI.org). MEMRI monitors Islamic-world news outlets and translates the rhetoric. It posts with English subtitles what’s being broadcast to the Muslim faithful. Now, non-Arabic speakers can sample the steady diet of anti-Jewish and anti-American fare being served up daily in that region’s news. We can understand what they say while seeing the audience’s reaction to it. Thus, we get a firsthand perspective that is not available from Muslim propaganda (what they say they said) or even by reading a transcript of a speech with some journalist’s assessment of it.

In a recent program on Egypt’s Al-Rahama TV, an Egyptian cleric spotlighted a prized pupil’s ability to flawlessly memorize anti-Judaic, Islamic verbiage and spew it passionately. IRINN TV in Iran similarly broadcast Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad boasting to thousands of Shiite Muslims that he won’t slow down the country’s nuclear program. Al-Arabiya TV in Dubai/Saudi Arabia took viewers to a pirate base camp for a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the world of Somali pirates. The pictures and interviews were fascinating! MEMRI produced a piece from LBC-TV in Lebanon where the Saudi-appointed executioner for Mecca, Abdullah Al-Bishi, happily discussed his calling as a decapitator, and demonstrated his swords and methods.

Our politically correct press doesn’t report this disturbing information. At www.MEMRI.org, however, you can get it straight from the horse’s mouth.

How else can you hear what radicals are saying overseas—that we’re not hearing over here? Stay tuned to Zola Levitt Presents on television, follow us regularly through our printed media, and monitor our reporting at www.levitt.com.

Ours is an evangelistic, watchman ministry—like MEMRI, but more spiritual. We are evangelistic, as we call individuals to make decisions for Christ; watchman, as we relate the days’ news to the Bible—the “Good News,” indeed. Unnerving though it may be, we present prophetic voices in these pathetic times, bearing in mind that, in God’s timing, He will judge the world, causing the crooked to be straight and the rough places plain (Isaiah 40:4).

With bad news on the way (construed by many as post-Rapture events), it is the Church’s job to tell the Good News. We must call people to repentance, announce Jesus’ eventual return, and warn our fellow man of his prospects should he fail to heed the warnings. Many members of the Church do this—though not enough, in my opinion. Too few realize that Jesus’ return factors directly and significantly into Israeli affairs. Jesus implied as much when He told Jewish religious leaders, “You will not see Me until you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord’” (Matt. 23:39, Luke 13:35).

Pastors know these Scriptures and have access to the Internet and other news sources. It is their responsibility to tell about God’s plans, expose fanatic Islamic intrigue, give insights on economics in prophecy, and account for pandemics as noted in the biblical testimony. However, many pastors fail to make the connections.

Will you please help me share such biblical teaching with the multitudes who are missing it?

The truth is, the stories we tell on Zola Levitt Presents should be so “old hat,” and so widely told by others that our ministry needn’t repeat them. The truth of God’s Word—and reports of what’s happening in this world these days—should be streamed to you in sermons, church bulletins, denominational magazines, and through the Christian media. ZLM’s ministry and message is needed, however, because God’s plan isn’t being made known to His people. We must reassure them that He knows what is happening today, has known about it from the beginning of time, and remains in control.

Our cultural trends against the Gospel stir up a bold faith within me. Many in the Church have abandoned the biblical witness, and this inspires me to march into spiritual battle and disseminate the Bible’s message to the masses.

A perfect vehicle for this spiritual calling is our made-for-TV series on Satan in the Last Days, The Dark Prince: When The Devil Has His Day. If you would like to help us produce and broadcast it, a love offering would be especially helpful now. The follow-up series to The Dark Prince is Sar Shalom (Hebrew for “Prince of Peace”). Sar Shalom will take a profound, deliberate look at Jesus, the Light and Hope for the world—it will be very encouraging. We need donations for Sar Shalom as well.

If Israel’s Messiah has shed His light in your world, please consider helping us take His light to the broader world—a world that is staggering beneath despair, decay, and disorientation as many walk about in spiritual darkness, unable to discern their left hands from their right. Help us bring them the Hope for the world!

If you want to visit the biblical world where the “Prince of Peace” came to bring His light and hope, there is plenty of room for you to travel with us. Give me your hand and I’ll take you there. Many who wanted to travel to Israel in the spring or summer were concerned about the economy. Now they, and hopefully you, will experience renewed enthusiasm and join our pilgrims this autumn.

Our four tour options include departure dates of October 13 and 18 and return dates of October 28 and November 1. You can see Israel, Athens, and/or Petra. Please contact our new travel manager, Tracie, at (214) 696-9760. I’ll be on the bus, leading the way. I love Israel and am anxious to share it with you. Come!

Your messenger,

Jeff Seif

P.S. Continuing reports of plagues, the decay of the American way, and Islamic fanaticism can be very disconcerting. Despite these real challenges, we Believers have legitimate reason to remain optimistic—and continually praise the Lord. As Zola used to say, “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!”
