Highlighting: OFF ON

Myles & Katharine Weiss

Dear Friends,

For such a time as this … really! This oft-repeated phrase from the Book of Esther has many wonderful and accurate applications. It describes the urgency of a moment and calls to action those who hear it. Given the momentous season we are in regarding political and eschatological events, I am compelled to “dust it off” and shout it to our readers, viewers, and all within the range of Zola Levitt Ministries’ influence.

To you who read these missives or watch our Zola Levitt Presents or follow our teaching at www.levitt.com … “AWAKE!” We need to “step up” together and pray, proclaim, and provide whatever help we can to the cause of Israel, her Messiah, and those of us on the front lines of this type of ministry.

Make no mistake; Zola Levitt Ministries is on the front lines. We are waging eschatological warfare in the “heavenlies.” As Rav Shaul (Rabbi Paul) stated in Ephesians 6, this warfare is against the prince of darkness and his demonic forces. In reality, we are living in an Age when we can see these spiritual battles reported nightly on our news and dozens of websites as well as analyzed in the Levitt Letter and our TV programs!

Reports from the front are coming in from reliable sources that weed through the “fog of war” and help us see clearly where to position ourselves effectively in the fight.

I unabashedly ask you—our most faithful supporters—to dig deep now and help us start this new year with an upsurge of the finances we need to accomplish our mission. We are reaching out in the same ways we always have, and also adding new and exciting modes of proclaiming “Christianity through Jewish eyes,” as Zola called our work.

Early in 2013, Katharine and I will speak at “Future Congress 2.” This end-times conference features well-known speakers including Hal Lindsey and will equip attendees to face the trials that are brewing on Earth. Our seminars will address the stress on marriages and the importance of standing with Israel in the days ahead.

Many of our brothers and sisters around the world are facing daily persecution. You and I are not impervious to these attacks, and in the West they begin with verbal assaults and political pressure. We expect these to escalate in the coming season.

Our TV broadcasts this month continue the updated version of The Stones Cry Out series that began in December. This blockbuster series demonstrates how archaeology substantiates the Word of God. God doesn’t need it, but He provides it for the many souls who do. The cavalcade of scientists—Jewish and gentile believers in Yeshua and pre-believers—presents an irrefutable case for the history of a Jewish presence in the Land of Promise, as Joan Peters expresses it, “from time immemorial.” The Stones Cry Out is a perfect New Years gift, whether you purchase the series on DVD, watch it on TV with skeptical friends and loved ones, or watch it at www.levitt.tv. The following programs air in January:

LOOKING AHEAD INTO 2013

From the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, Myles and Katharine preview the series for the coming year. The Stones Cry Out presents archaeological discoveries that corroborate the Scriptures. Our newest series Sons of Promise tells the story of Isaac and Jacob through dramas and on-location teachings.

The Stones Cry Out (continued from December)

The Jerusalem That Was.
At the Bible Lands Museum, we find a model of Jerusalem as it would have looked in 586 BC. In the historic City of David, we examine the architecture of a four-room house, typical living quarters of the ancient Israelites.
Past and Future Destruction.
Ongoing excavations at Hazor have unearthed various artifacts, including idols from the time of the Canaanites, and evidence that confirms the burning of the city as recorded in Joshua 11. We examine not only the prophetic significance of the Valley of Armageddon, but also the archaeological discoveries at Megiddo.
Archaeology and the Scriptures.
In Jerusalem, Zola explains the history of events at the Citadel, which is also called “David’s Tower.” We discuss archaeology’s role in illuminating Scripture, and hear from a spokesman with the Israel Antiquities Authority.
Cities of the Past.
In New Testament times, Zippori was a thriving cultural center in Galilee that probably influenced Jesus as a boy growing up in Nazareth. Going back to Old Testament times, we travel to the precise location of Ekron, one of five prominent cities of the ancient Philistines.

SPEAKING OF BROADCASTING, we’ve upgraded our two time-slots on the INSP network to a single broadcast on Sunday at 9:00 a.m. ET. That’s 8:00 CT, 7:00 MT, and 6:00 PT. Cable viewers in the Mountain and Pacific time zones, please check your listings.

We are also looking forward with great anticipation to our series Sons of Promise, which will highlight the inestimable contributions that the whole world has received through the sons of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob/Israel!

This series definitively establishes the covenantal line of blessing and the Jewish right to the land as well as the amazing gifts that have blessed everyone through the blessing of Abraham. God’s chesed (His loving-kindness) does not stop with the Messiah—certainly the most important gift. He also releases through His Chosen People medicine, technology, and business acumen, theoretical advances in physics and chemistry, and applications in almost every scientific field.

Israel, smaller than New Jersey, will continue to dominate the headlines of the world until the Messiah comes. It’s all part of God’s plan. The spiritual first fruits of Israel’s redemption are on Earth today. It comprises people like Zola and me … Jewish believers in Messiah. But we need you.

The natural and the wild olive branches together create the finest fruit! Those who live in Israel especially deserve our support, prayers, and financial backing. We need “all hands on deck” to work for God’s purposes at this time.

A gift that Katharine and I have cultivated over the years is reconciliation. Our counseling ministry uses an effective tool—reaching for “both/and” paradigms within marriages, in parenting, between churches, ministries, and even Jews and Arabs! God provided wonderful opportunities for us to work with a variety of people and groups to see His purposes transpire.

Please do not be shy about sharing your love for this ministry within your community. Much of this work is based on face-to-face referrals. Your sphere of influence expands the reach of our efforts.

We recently met with like-minded people at the Messianic Leaders Roundtable, hosted by Jonathan Bernis of Jewish Voice International. Leaders from around the world gathered in Arizona for several days to share successes, unburden from stresses, and pray for each other’s projects. It was the very definition of community. Katharine and I are grateful that Zola’s son Mark joined us at this significant meeting.

Friends, I bring good news from the Roundtable!

The Messianic Movement has grown and grown up. Not only are we wider, grayer, and with less hair… we have grown spiritually. A refreshing variety of ministries met in Arizona, bringing an uplifting attitude of humility and cooperation. As Jews, of course, we can always argue into the wee hours about issues of doctrine, interpretation, and practice. You may have heard the saying, “Two Jews, three opinions!” which accurately describes our perennial penchant for debate, questions, arguments, and deliberating any issue.

However, at this gathering I saw a deep love and respect for one another; it was considered more precious than right doctrine alone. Leaders from every style of congregation, form of media, level of Hebrew-language understanding, and connection with Israel came together under the banner of love.

It was a living expression of Psalm 133 and John 17!

Psalm 133:1–3 David wrote:
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, running down on the edge of his garments. It is like the dew of Hermon, descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the Lord commanded the blessing—life forevermore.
John 17:20–23 Jesus said:
I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

The Tower of David — also known as David's Citadel

David saw the promising power of unity, and Yeshua provided it! Mark, Katharine, and I experienced that phenomenon in Arizona. Notice that when Jesus was speaking to the Father about His talmidim (disciples), He was setting up the future when these Jewish followers would bring the Good News to the gentile world. “Those who will believe in Me, through their word …” This phrase, tucked into this powerful prayer, looks ahead to Acts 10 when the gentile world would hear from the Holy Spirit as Peter visited the house of Cornelius. From there, Paul would take this message around the world. Now it is rising in the East and the Chinese proclaim, “Back to Jerusalem!” They desire to bring the Good News through the Muslim world into the heart of Jewish Jerusalem.

Wouldn’t you love to join one of our ministry’s Holy Land tours this March, June, or October? It is Katharine’s and my delight to host you viewers and readers during our life-changing study tours. You can see the delight of the Lord in our travelers’ faces. Plan now to join us March 3–12, 2013 in Israel and continue on to Petra, March 12–15 if you choose. Or think ahead to our June 9–19 Discovery Tour or any of the four Fall Tour options that begin September 24 and conclude on October 13. You can choose between Israel only or adding Greece, Petra, or both. You will be blessed!

We may be about to see an end-times replay of this unifying pattern. As the Jewish followers of the Jewish Messiah dwell together in unity, God will unleash an earth-shaking awakening because of His desire that “none should perish” (2 Peter 3:9).

This awakening will lead to His return. The invisible chuppah (wedding canopy) spread over this conference will expand as more leaders recognize that “the new wine is in the cluster” (Isaiah 65:8).

Now more than ever, bring your gifts, whether they are prayers, finance, a kind word, or a sharing of our mission with friends and family. I am convinced that, like Esther of old, you were brought into the Kingdom for such a time as this!

“Sha’alu Shalom Yerushalayim!”
(Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!)

“Here is my contribution for January. With prayers and support, I uphold your newest TV series The Stones Cry Out and Sons of Promise.”

The Stones Cry Out

“The Stones Cry Out” video

New archaeological discoveries are validating the biblical record. To film archaeological sites and interview the experts, Zola and the crew of Zola Levitt Presents journeyed to Israel and Jordan.

An Epic Love Story

“An Epic Love Story” study booklet

The God of love is a matchmaker who desires a Bride for His Son, the Bridegroom of Heaven. This Bride, the Church, will consist of both Jews and gentiles. Yeshua’s sacrifice enables gentiles to be grafted into the life of Israel and share in the promises of God. Understanding the role of Israel, God’s timepiece, is crucial to preparing for the Lord’s return.

Jesus The Jew’s Jew

“Jesus The Jew’s Jew” book

Zola’s first book about his heritage and his faith. An especially fresh and unvarnished look at the peculiar world of Jewish Christianity, a witness to the Chosen People and the author’s unique testimony. An excellent gift for a Jewish friend.
