Highlighting: OFF ON

Myles & Katharine Weiss

Dear Friend,

Look up! Last month, I mentioned that four “Blood Moons” (total lunar eclipses) will turn our eyes to the sky beginning this Pesach (Passover). Signs and wonders will draw the attention of Believers and unbelievers to the God of Creation. Expect such phenomena to continue as the Day of the Messiah comes near. (Luke 21:32)

Signs can be vast like the coming blood moons, or small and personal. That is because God is the Lord of all Creation; yet He is aware of our human limitations.

Through His prophet, He said, “It is I who made the earth, and created man upon it. I stretched out the heavens with My hands, and I ordained all their host.” (Isaiah 45:12) And the psalmist wrote:

O Lord, You have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up; You understand my thought from afar. You scrutinize my path and my lying down, and are intimately acquainted with all my ways. Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, O Lord, You know it all.

(Psalm 139: 1-4)

Our awesome God contrasts huge expanses of heavenly creation with the tiniest of majestic artwork.

One personal sign in which Katharine and I participated recently was the wedding of our close friend Rosemary Schindler to Dr. James Garlow, Senior Pastor of Skyline Church in San Diego, California. Their story of romance and marriage—a testimonial of restoration and overcoming tragic loss—stirred all who know them.

The wedding had a “prophetic” aura to it as Rosemary’s love for Israel and the Jewish people was joined to Jim’s mastery of the Covenants of God, especially that of traditional marriage.

Rosemary long ago accepted the mantle of her great-uncle Oskar Schindler. She has tirelessly championed the cause of Israel, standing with the Jewish people and teaching Christians to love the Jews. We have worked with her for years and she has appeared on Zola Levitt Presents several times (including this month—read on) and helped host Zola Tours pilgrims in Israel.

Rosemary Schindler and Jim Garlow

The Schindler-Garlow wedding exemplified these two anointings coming together. I believe God will use Jim and Rosemary to spread His message to America and beyond. The wedding comprised both the Jewish elements that preach the Gospel of love to His people Israel and those of us who are “grafted in” through faith in Israel’s Messiah. (Romans 11:17)

Katharine and I brought a Hebraic depiction of marriage to the ceremony. Dr. Jeffrey Seif, our wonderful predecessor at ZLM and their ad hoc matchmaker, entertained the gathering with tales of Jim and Rosemary in the early days of their courtship.

The union occurred under a chuppah, a canopy made from the traditional Hebrew prayer shawl, which I explained is a picture of the Shekinah (glory of God). The sides of the chuppah remain open, indicating that the Lord intends for love in the marriage to spread out and bless friends and family gathered around the couple.

The question posed to a representative of Jim’s father, “Is it time yet?” was answered, “Yes, it is time!” That is quite symbolic, because only the Father knows the time of the bridegroom’s coming. (Mark 13:32)

With shofar (rams’ horn) tones announcing the groom’s entrance, Jim walked in to shouts of Baruch Haba B’Shem Adonai! (“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord”—Matthew 23:39). Jesus promised that when His Jewish brethren cry this aloud, He will come.

Jim proceeded up the aisle to meet his bride “in the air,” and together they approached the altar to be joined through their vows, rings, prayers, and Communion. The ceremony entailed a “cast of thousands” (or so it seemed) as friends, clergy, and family joined together to witness and bless with God the union.

It was a sign and wonder on the human scale. What about on the cosmic scale?

This spring, beginning on Passover, God will declare His sovereignty across the heavens. A Blood Red Moon will appear four times in two years: twice at the Feasts of Passover and twice at the Feasts of Tabernacles. Between this year’s first two (April 14–22 and Oct 8–15) and next year’s second two (April 3–11 and Sept 27–Oct 4), astronomers expect a full solar eclipse on March 20, 2015!

Just as God “spoke” through the Schindler/Garlow wedding, He speaks to all living things through His Creation (Romans 1:20). His love for Israel is evident throughout the Bible. Consequently, although “four Blood Moons in a row” (a tetrad) occur with some frequency, it is fascinating to note their occurrences during key Jewish feasts.

In history, for example, tetrads marked the beginning of the long Spanish Inquisition—1492, with eclipses occurring at Passover, April 2, 1493; Sukkot Sept. 25, 1493; Passover, March 22,1494; and Sukkot, Sept.15,1494.

In modern times, a tetrad marked the beginning of Israel’s rebirth as a nation, occurring on the heels of Israel’s War of Independence—1948 at Passover, April 13,1949; Sukkot, Oct. 7, 1949; Passover, April 2, 1950; and Sukkot, Sept. 26, 1950.

Again, when Israel regained control of Jerusalem following The Six-Day War—1967, a Blood Moon appeared on Passover, April 24, 1967; Sukkot, Oct. 18, 1967; Passover, April 13, 1968; and Sukkot, Oct. 6, 1968.

This data can be confirmed at www.nasa.gov, and it could mean that God is preparing those who are watching for something spectacular.

I am not putting a date on the unfolding of the Book of Revelation, nor am I setting any dates for the coming of the Bridegroom of Heaven — only the Father knows the time. Rather, I see before us an incredible opportunity to watch the Lord of Creation reach for lost loved ones and confirm not only His love for Israel but also our need to stand with the Jewish people!

The wonderful “B” story in this astronomical moon watch is this: Instead of the whole world focusing on doomsday Mayan calendars or end-times numerological date setting, a global gathering to the Word, the Author, and the Finisher of our faith positions vast multitudes to observe the reality of the Gospel message and its relationship to Israel.

I remember Moishe Rosen (founder of Jews for Jesus) teaching young zealots that sometimes, even onlookers who gather to hear a discussion, debate, or proclamation are touched by the love of God. We pray that just such will occur with everyone in the Church and the world who is looking to the Sun, Moon, and stars with questions for their REAL Creator.

Series available for purchase mid-March
For the Word of God is living and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

God is front-page news for 2014–2015. What a refreshing turn of events...Look up!

NOW IS THE TIME TO EXPAND BIBLE BELIEVERS’ INFLUENCE IN THIS WORLD. Our ministry needs your help to continue to address prophetic issues of the day and point hungry souls to the Lord. To that end, our upcoming television programs will feature the conclusion of the Journey of Restoration, our series in which viewers like you accompany a group of pilgrims on a study tour of the Holy Land. The final two segments are:

Prophecy and the Patriarchs.
After winding through a narrow canyon that leads to Petra’s landmark structure “The Treasury,” we head for Be’ersheba. Standing by an ancient well, our guide Yuval presents a short history of the site, emphasizing the importance of water. A dramatic clip from our Abraham series leads into a teaching of hope for Esau and Jacob.
The Destiny of the Heartland.
With the tour finished, we turn our discussion to the Land that our pilgrims have just experienced. Myles interviews Pastor Tommy Waller, whose “Ha Yovel” (the Jubilee) group brings hundreds of Christians from 15 countries to harvest grapes aloniside Orthodox Jews whose return to the Land fulfills prophetic Scripture. Jewish Israeli Aaron Lipkin reflects on Tommy’s amazing work and the prophetic times in which we live.

After the final episode of Journey of Restoration, viewers will see the aforementioned Rosemary Schindler along with Rabbi Isaac Levy (right) in a single program from a recent Future Congress 2 prophecy conference:

One New Man.
Speaking from the prophecy conference “Future Congress 2,” Rosemary Schindler and Rabbi Isaac Levy describe how Jewish and gentile believers in Yeshua form one tree with many branches. Believers should pray and support Israel while reaching out in love to the Jewish people.

Finally, we will close the month with a broadcast of our acclaimed foundational series, Abraham—Father of Faith, which will bring you deep insight into God’s calling on the Jewish people and the “whosoevers” from the Nations who accept and follow Yeshua, our Messiah. The eight-part Abraham series tells the story of the Patriarch through drama at the actual biblical sites. Interviews with contemporary personalities illustrate the Jews’ seamless connection with the land promised to the descendants of Abraham and Isaac. The first two programs are:

The Calling.
God chooses Abram from the idol-worshipping world to walk with Him and proclaim His name through the Ages.
A Man of Altars.
Abram walks the land, building altars in significant places. We interview the spokesman for Samaria, one of the modern disputed lands that God promised to the seed of Abram.

Please stand with our timely ministry and donate generously as we prepare to journey to Israel and film a powerful TV series regarding the hottest biblical topics of our day. Katharine and I will be teaching from the most controversial nation on Earth about the most contended real estate on Earth, the Temple Mount. We’ll present the contentious, but nevertheless true, facts of uninterrupted Jewish presence in the Land through the story of King David. Jerusalem has been the official Jewish capital for three thousand years, going back to the time when David was King! With your gifts of funds, we will trumpet the truth in the face of revisionist historians and media lackeys who report propaganda without regard for the facts.

Of course, you can enter into the history still being written by joining us on a tour of Israel. This year, our Fall Tour offers four options:

IsraelOct. 19–28
Greece/IsraelOct. 13–28
Israel/PetraOct. 19–31
Greece/Israel/PetraOct. 13–31

Please call our tour manager, Sandra, at Zola Tours: 214-696-9760. Or you can email her at and visit www.levitt.com/tours. She will walk you through the process of joining a life-changing, faith-enhancing study tour. We make it easy for you to have a first-class experience that you will never forget.

Until I see you, please remember what the Scriptures command: Sha’alu shalom Yerushalayim—“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!” (Psalm 122:6)

Your messenger, brother, and fellow watchman,
Myles

P.S. I am thankful that the light of the Lord is shining brighter and His signs and wonders are becoming clearer as the Day of the Lord draws near!

This 2-color, 36-page book guides you through the traditional Passover Seder dinner, step-by-step. This observance reminds us of the Israelites’ rescue from Egyptian bondage, plus we remember Messiah’s last supper, a Passover Seder. What’s so unique about this Haggadah is its focus on Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah and his teaching, especially on his last night in the upper room. You'll find words and sheet music for the songs traditionally sung on Passover. The popular Complete Jewish Bible is used for translations where Scripture is quoted.
