Highlighting: OFF ON

Myles & Katharine Weiss

Dear Friend,

Shalom in the Name of Yeshua, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Katharine and I just returned from America’s heartland in the Ozark Mountains.

The U.S. media’s Palestinian Replacement Theology narrative regarding Israel and its neighbors came to mind when Katharine and I addressed the Evangelical Church Alliance (ECA) at their International Conference in Branson. The life-and-death battle for media favor calls all Believers to diligently spread the truth about Israel and the Jews from God’s point of view.

Our participation in the recent ECA gathering and its success resulted from numerous “coincidences.” Coincidence is God’s way of remaining anonymous.

First, the ECA event occurred during Operation Protective Edge, the IDF’s deployment to defeat Hamas’s terror tunnels and rocket-launching armories. God released His Word to Christian leaders just as anti-Zionist sentiment peaked in the media. Hallelujah!

Second, I was the keynote speaker—another “coincidence” I’ll relate later in this letter.

The ECA, serving God’s servants since 1887, comprises 2,000–3,000 credentialed ministers worldwide. It has included some well-known pastors, teachers, and missionaries from a wide range of church cultures and traditions. Derek Prince, a British expatriate in Jerusalem for many years, mentored some of my closest Israeli friends; he was with the ECA. Another member, Kathryn Kuhlman, led many to the Lord through her evangelistic ministry that included dramatic healings. Dr. Robert Schenck (a Jewish brother) serves in the leadership today and ministers to the highest levels of our government in D.C.

ECA’s membership includes an extraordinary number of military, fire, and police chaplains. I thank God for the Believing men and women who serve the U.S. military as chaplains. Katharine and I pray for them to be unrestrained by any political correctness in the coming years.

As current president of the ECA, Dr. Robert Turrill (“Dr. Bob”) (rt) serves as the chief overseer along with his wife Jane and an elder board of very seasoned members. In a move that only God could orchestrate, Dr. Bob began his tenure at the ECA at the same time that Katharine and I joined Zola Levitt Ministries in 2011. An interesting parallel, maybe, except that he also has a long history of Jewish evangelism and co-labored with some of my earliest influences.

Dr. Turrill called me when he learned that the ECA rolls included a fulltime Messianic minister who also hosts Zola Levitt Presents. How did he find out about me? It’s that “coincidence” I mentioned earlier. Number Three in our list.

The ministry report that I submit every year “happened” to be atop a stack of hundreds as Dr. Bob walked by his wife’s desk one day last year! He and I began corresponding and fellowshipped around the crucial eschatological (End Times) issues involving Israel and the Church.

Fourth, again providentially, the theme of this year’s ECA conference—“Finishing the Race”—is a topic that I’ve been studying for our upcoming TV series on the life of Jacob’s son Joseph. Thanks to your gifts of funds, we will be producing this dynamic series after our fall tours of Greece, Ephesus, Israel, and Petra. Joseph’s life pre-shadows our Savior’s as a powerful example for us to run well and not give up during the difficult times.

My studies considered the arc of biblical and Church history from a Hebraic mindset. You and I are not isolated individuals, but part of a long contingent of the faithful who exist l’dor v’dor (from generation to generation). As Psalm 145:4 tells us:

One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts.

It seems that there are markers, not unlike the batons of a relay race, that characterize our corporate, familial, and prophetic destiny as Believers. In an Olympic relay race, the team of runners can employ one of two types of baton passes:

The blind exchange—in which the runner fixes his eyes on the horizon

…let us run with endurance the race that is set before us looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1–2

The seeing exchange—in which the runner keeps his teammates in view

For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Messiah. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into One Body—whether Jews or Greeks [gentiles], whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. 1 Cor. 12:12–13

Now more than ever we need BOTH aspects of a baton pass: Keeping Mashiach Yeshua in the center of our lives AND recognizing that we are part of a vast Body that has worked through the centuries, with varying callings today.

My study confirmed for me what God had revealed years ago about His “big chuppah.” The wedding canopy under which the Bride of Messiah stands contains as many varying emphases as a body has parts. On a toe, we see John Hagee and his Christians United For Israel raising awareness and millions of dollars for Israel from gentiles of the Body of Messiah, but not actively witnessing the Savior to the Jews. On the farthest outstretched finger might be the Israeli Messianic Believers and groups like Jews for Jesus who emphasize the Jewish need for salvation through Jesus.

Each part of the Body needs to take its place under the canopy according to its calling. For Katharine and me, our calling includes “treasures new and old” (Matthew 13:52) and embraces the “ancient rocks and living stones.” ZLM supports national Israel but also embraces Galatians 6:10 “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.” To that end, this ministry strives to serve and support the living Body of Messiah, both Stateside and in Israel.

A Hebraic, holistic view of “finishing the race” could be said to have these four components of a relay:

  1. Abraham called—the Genesis 12:1–3 blessing/cursing, available to all
  2. Apostles sent—the Cross and then the spread of the Word to the Nations
  3. Aliyah—Israel Reborn—God’s prophetic timepiece from1948 to the present
  4. Awaiting the King—our present generation looking for Messiah!

Matthew 23:39 reminds us that the day is coming when we will hear this sound coming from Israel: Baruch haba b’Shem Adonai! “Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord!” Every day brings us closer to that day.

This paradigm comes very much alive when you walk through the Promised Land—Israel. Katharine and I look forward to the Fall Tour this year and the Holy Land tours that follow. Regardless of the media spin, WE ARE GOING. A major goal of terror is economic hardship for the victim. When Believers make our pilgrimages, we support Israel’s people in a tangible way and strike a blow against the jihadi agenda.

By the way, our pilgrims are never in harm’s way. We are prudent in our choice of sites to visit, and keep a flexible schedule. Thanks to God, our Fall Tour 2014 is almost full—we have 100 pilgrims signed up, but people cancel before every tour for reasons like illness, finances, work, etc. Please ask Sandra in our tour office about availability for you. Fall’s tour includes Greece, Israel, and Petra, traveling on Oct.13–31, depending on the tour option you choose. Our Spring Tour 2015 will follow this schedule:

Deluxe Tour of Israel:
$3,988 March 15–24
Grand Petra (Israel & Petra):
$4,988 March 15–27

Our prices include taxes, fuel surcharges, and tips.

As always, this ministry brings you the highest quality Bible teaching on television. During September, viewers will sense our customary personal touch as Katharine and I answer letters and emails from viewers of Zola Levitt Presents and readers of the Levitt Letter. You probably will enjoy this type of program as we address specific questions about Islam, the meaning of the Holocaust, and what the Bible has to say about women in ministry.

This month’s programming also will conclude Sons of Promise: Isaac and Jacob. The popular series joyfully recounts the history of Abraham’s descendants, confirming God’s eternal covenant with the Children of Israel to this day. Katharine and I favor this particular series because it illustrates the continued blessing that God brings to the world through the descendants of Abraham and Isaac, visible in today’s high-tech world benefiting from Israel. Interviewing our son Jonathan was an added treat for Mom and Dad.

For the Love of Rachel.
Jacob serves Laban repeatedly to earn his bride, demonstrating the importance of patience and commitment in God’s plan. Zola’s son Mark Levitt interviews Dr. Todd Baker, who leads To The Jew First, our Gospel outreach to the Holy Land that sends missionaries four times per year.
L’dor V’dor (From Generation to Generation).
Jacob wrestles with God, and his transformation provides hope for us all. Myles interviews his own firstborn son, Jonathan, about the blessing of a Yeshua-centered upbringing.

Later this month, our two-part report from the Future Congress 2 prophecy conference relays some of the end-times teaching that Katharine and I brought to the Dallas-based Congress.

Israel and World Revival, Part 1.
At the conference, Myles suggests that Jews and gentiles should aspire to a balanced view of Israel. Christians have gone too far in the past, trying to “correct” Israel. The most Jewish thing a Jewish person can do is believe in Jesus as the Jewish Messiah.
Israel and World Revival, Part 2.
Myles describes Israel as God’s signpost. We are saved by Yeshua’s blood alone. However, the Church must recognize that Israel’s suffering has been genuine and real. Believers need to be recruiting members to the Body for the return of the King of the Jews.

The two special programs described above provide a solid, biblically based explanation for today’s turmoil in the Middle East. Please gather your friends and family to view September’s television programs and discuss current events.

As the Nations line up regarding Israel and the Jewish people, we thank you for standing with us as we stand with the Jewish Messiah and His people. And please remember, Sha’alu shalom Yerushalayim — “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!” (Psalms 122:6).

Your brother and messenger,
Myles Myles

P.S. Now more than ever, please lift your voice to oppose the lies of the media! Speak the truth about Israel yourself, and uphold others who do, too.
