Shalom friends,
We are back in the U.S. after 30 days of travel to Greece and Israel. The exhilarating and life-changing pilgrimages surpassed our expectations. Our pilgrims loved the teaching, and their testimonies flowed with a God-breathed sense of destiny. Some of them had traveled with Zola’s groups before, but most were first-timers who feasted on the boatload of Bible teaching we delivered.
This particular tour commemorated 30 years of Zola Tours leading Holy Land pilgrimages. Israel’s Ministry of Tourism sent one of their senior staff to honor Zola Levitt Ministries with plaques signed by Uzi Landau, the Minister of Tourism. They are on display in our office’s reception area.
Zola was a forerunner in many aspects of Messianic ministry. Certainly, turning American Christians’ attention to Israel and hosting thousands of pilgrims in the Land greatly blessed the tiny, beleaguered nation.
These tours never get old. Therefore, I must encourage you to save your “shekels” and prepare to make a pilgrimage with us. Zola often taught that “A trip to Israel is worth more than ten years of Sunday School.” That comparison remains true. Join us this coming year for our Spring Tour 2014, which includes the option of a visit to Petra in Jordan.
It encourages us to see tears of joy streaming down the faces of our pilgrims as they hear the Word come alive in the places of Its origin. Each one of us has a fresh encounter with the Lord. To finally stand in His land, among His people, reading Scripture at the very sites where the stories took place has a profound impact on everyone. Please join us. You will not be disappointed.
Zola Levitt Presents continues to bless many thousands of viewers, generating some uniquely favorable feedback. Israel can now tune in our program via the Daystar Network. While I was in a Jerusalem shop one morning, the owner remarked, “I saw you on TV this morning. What you are doing is very important!” I was stunned. She is NOT a believer in Yeshua, yet she understood the power of the pro-Israel message that our program broadcasts far and wide.
Please see http://www.levitt.com/airsch to learn new ways to tune in to Zola Levitt Presents. You can use your city or ZIP Code to search for broadcasts in your area. Also, please invite your friends to see for themselves our insightful and uplifting TV programs. This month, two programs conclude the encore presentation of Zola’s classic series on the Seven Feasts of Israel, The Holy Days of Our Lord.
Katharine and I cherish being in a position to bless Israel economically through tourism, and spiritually by bringing pilgrims full of the Spirit of Messiah to the Land. We walk in love, opening Israelis’ eyes to the shared destiny that is blossoming between Jewish people and born-again Believers.
PTL for the outstanding realization that came to us during our TV filming after the tour. We drove into Samaria, to Har Bracha (Mount Gerizim, the Mount of Blessing, Deuteronomy 11:29) in the heartland of Israel. This is the area of Judea and Samaria that’s falsely called the “West Bank” by mainstream media. From Mount Gerizim on a clear day, you can see the Mediterranean Sea and Tel Aviv. You can also see the checkerboard pattern of Arab villages and Jewish communities in the surrounding mountains and valleys.
Standing in the vineyards of Mount Bracha, one can feel the prophetic time clock ticking toward the coming of Messiah. The pace of its second hand has increased every year since Israel’s rebirth in 1948.
Modern-day Orthodox Jews who tend these vineyards rightly believe that they are living the fulfillment of the scriptural prophecies that speak of today:
Taken with many other verses, the picture emerges of our unique time in history when the Jewish people are back in our native land, rebuilding, replanting, and watching for the ultimate restoration: the coming of Messiah!
I don’t know if any mortal could have predicted gentile Christians coming alongside Jews to help them do the “heavy lifting” of working the land. But, that is happening today.
Katharine and I stood with our camera crew on the Mount, listening to Pastor Tommy Waller tell us about his journey from Tennessee to Samaria. With his 11 children and 6 grandchildren, he is heading up “Ha Yovel” (the Jubilee), which brings Christians to Israel to assist in farming the land. They plant, prune, pick, and deliver grapes to a kosher winery. We stood with Nir, the Orthodox Jewish manager of the winery, who proclaimed that the gentiles coming to help was also a fulfillment of prophetic Scriptures:
Orthodox Jews looking for Messiah, and Christians watching for Yeshua are making a stand together in the mountains of Samaria. They stand against opposition from the Muslim neighbors, the religious world, and the uninformed political realm.
But they are standing! We need to trumpet this message. Now, will you stand with us? As we celebrate our cultural holidays together, why not celebrate by furthering the work of the Lord? Remember, too, that your year-end gifts are tax-deductible.
I urge you to end the year in strength and generosity by giving the best possible gift you can send to this precious ministry. We need your prayers and financial partnership to produce a long-awaited series on Joseph, the Patriarch who most resembles Jesus in His Jewish identity. This is a timely project because our Jewish friends and family must know our/their Messiah now. Providentially they seem more inclined than ever to receive Him, especially as the world stage continues to heat up. Thank you once again for your support!
And please remember, Sha’alu Shalom Yerushalayim—“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!” (Ps.122:6)
Your brother,
Myles
P.S. By standing with Zola Levitt Ministries, of course, you take a stand for the shared destiny of Jews and Christians.
Dear Myles,
A new dimension of cooperation between Orthodox Jews and gentile Christians is taking shape in our day as never before.
“Here’s my donation for December. Please use it for TV production, particularly your series on Joseph, who closely resembles Jesus.”
The holidays our Lord celebrated, filmed on location in Israel. These celebrations provide one of the most fascinating studies of biblical types and shadows.
Featuring an introduction by Zola, Israel’s Right to the Land! pulls abundant evidence from the Scriptures, and directly addresses the 12 key issues that resolve this topic once and for all.
The Rapture of the Church, discussed in full, with relevant Scriptures. The various views of when it might happen are presented in an evenhanded debate about which seems most correct.
