Middlebury, Vt. — A chemistry professor whose exam question asked students to calculate the lethal dose of a poisonous gas used in Nazi gas chambers during the Holocaust has taken a leave of absence, Middlebury College said. The Vermont liberal arts college said that it’s investigating under the terms of its faculty misconduct policy.
Before the Holocaust, approximately one-third of Warsaw was Jewish.
On April 19, 1943, the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising broke out, which was on the eve of the Jewish festival of Passover. German troops stormed the ghetto, intent on completing the deportation process within three days, yet were ambushed by Jewish rebels. JERUSALEM, Israel – Airbnb has reversed its decision to ban home listings in Israeli settlement communities in historic Judea and Samaria, also known as the West Bank.
Airbnb announced the policy change after a court settlement Monday between the hospitality service and several American Jewish plaintiffs who sued the company.
Last November, the company vowed to “remove listings in Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank that are at the core of the dispute between Israelis and Palestinians.”
