Notes from the Webmaster about Zola's 2006 battle with cancer

A wounded soldier

Here are some excerpts from a letter that Zola wrote around the end of March:

…the Lord has not changed His assignment for me, and so every few days when I feel like I’m having a good morning, I call together our local film crew and I make another program. Of course, we only broadcast once a week with original programs, so there will be an illusion that I’m pretty well able to do this work, and for now I am. But know that four programs will take a month to air, and eight will take two months, and so my condition will undoubtedly deteriorate off-camera. But, on the whole, it’s tolerable for now. My orders have not changed. I’m still a soldier manning a post, and my Commander knows I’m wounded.

So, I’ll continue this work as long as possible. I think we will probably show some very good repeat performances from the past, and possibly some interview programs while I can do that.

I have the feeling my new orders are coming down, which are that I can start to leave this post, but it will be under protest. I still have one more TV program in mind. And after that I suppose that will be my trip to heaven.

Know that each program I make costs many thousands of dollars, but I like the idea that people see that even a wounded soldier remains useful in the ongoing battle.

    Hello Sandra and family
Just have to express how I will miss the honest, straight-forward from Bible teachings from Zola. I so appreciated his teaching we are all one, Jew, Gentile, male, female in Jesus. My health dictates I will have to wait to go to Israel after I leave this earth. I am asking Jesus to let me meet Zola in the new Jerusalem temple where Zola will be playing music,my request, will see what Jesus says. My husband went to be with Jesus suddenly with a heart attack when he was 40 in 1983. The void remains, but the knowledge of their joy overcomes. God Bless Imogene Linedecker

May the peace of our Lord and Savior be with you dear Levitt family. Rejoice for he is with the Master and received the ultimate healing.
I pray the ministry continue to educate us on the events of Israel. The heartbeat of the Christian world. We must pray for her peace as our dear Brother Zola instructed us to do.
Keep our eyes upon Jesus and look for the soon coming King!

Dear Levitt family and ministry staff, I write this with tears down my face ,I am a newborn, one month old, Zola student. I found him via my mother and her love for the nation of Israel.I have been watching Zola, via Tivo, for 6 weeks. I fell in love with him the first show. His teachings filled a void I have been trying to fill for 17 years. I am sorry for your loss and also sorry for myself that I missed so much. I plan to get a new computer so I can watch all the archived shows on the web site. I have become a financial supporter and have signed up for classes. I have a lot of catching up to do. Thank you for keeping the minisrty going. Most of my heros are in the Bible, aside from my family. But now I have 3 20th century heros, Corrie ten Boom, Carla Fae Tucker, and Zola Levitt. Three Christians I can only hope to be like. Zola’s reflection of the Savior is with me in my heart and I am so grateful for his obedience to our LORD.I will try to be a good soldier too, and like my beloved teacher has intructed I will Sha’alu Shalom Yirushalayim! Until I get there or in the air. Brenda

We will never know on this side of Heaven the multitudes of people that were touched by the Lord because of this one man saying,”Yes Lord, here I am, send me”. Zola’s ministry was so unique as it opened the bible up in an entire new way by showing us the Jewish ways, how they lived back then, what things meant then and now. He put picture words on his teachings and I never looked at the bible the same. I learned way more in debt about Jesus Christ and I have such a love for the jewish people because of Zola’s fire for the Lord.
Not one person can say enough about this man. And we can say the same for his family. You sacrificed also and it was a great sacrifice to share him with all of us for all of these years. He could not have did what he did without the sacrifice and support of his family. We will not forget you now that he is gone. We will not forget this ministry. Everyone of his television programs could be played over and over again and we would still learn something new! We loved Zola and we will continue to love his family just as much! But most of all, we will forever love the Lord…thanks to Zola’s obedience to HIM., Jesus, the Christ!!
    Our love and prayers always,
