Highlighting: OFF ON

Dear Friends,

You may have heard this: “The reason Obama’s friends don’t mind raising taxes is that they don’t pay them anyway.” Despite promises against “political business as usual,” some of Obama’s cabinet picks seem to be “politicians as usual”—less than honorable, evidenced by their failure to pay their own taxes.

Embarrassing as these nominations were for our president, it is more troubling that we taxpayers (and our children) may have to pay for yet another “bailout.” The magnitude of the day’s challenges seems overwhelming as I contemplate our world. Nonetheless, viewers look to Zola Levitt Presents for a reconciliation of how today’s news lines up with the writings of biblical Jews. Rather than just throw my hands up in the air, I must get on television’s airwaves and give a biblical accounting of our times. It’s time to open the Bible and speak to the current situation.

In our upcoming TV series, I do just that.

The new series, When the Devil Has His Day, introduces viewers to a very distinguished, European-looking gentleman named “Agosto”—Frederick Agosto, to be exact. “Agosto” is an Italian name meaning “Exalted One.” In this made-for-TV dramatization, this fictitious person will live up to his “exalted” name. A charismatic and diabolical man, he will emerge as the antiChrist—the very embodiment of Satan in our hope-starved and disoriented world.

His dreaded coming was foretold years ago, and also how the world will be thrown into a period of dire straights—called the “Tribulation Period.”

This March, I will travel to the Holy Land with our producer Ken Berg and our TV production team. We’ll join a half dozen production associates in Israel and begin taping this on-location television series in Israel. The new series will teach about the devil’s will and ways as revealed in Scripture. The Bible’s remarkable lessons will transfix viewers to their television screens as the series details events of the dramatic Last Days.

We’ll journey back in time to Genesis, to the very dawn of creation. We’ll walk with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden at the start. Then we’ll march to the very end of time—in Revelation—as humankind contends with the Tribulation, culminating in the Battle of Armageddon. At that time, the “serpent of old”—the devil—is seized and thrown into a pit for a thousand years. Since tribulations and a “Tribulation Period” lead up to that time, don’t you agree that we are pressing against that time—even as you read this letter? With these intriguing events as its bookends, this TV series will explore a variety of Bible narratives in between and focus upon persistent evil and God’s inevitable, final triumph over it.

At one level, the series is a Bible college “101 course” on demonology. On another level, it’s not an academic course at all, but a “wake up call” for the culture. It will provide a much needed opportunity for men and women to look at predictions in the ancient Word and grasp relevant correlations to the modern world. We’re aiming to spark decisions for Christ—a theme I try to impress throughout this evangelistic series.

When the Devil Has His Day reveals how Satan entered human affairs millennia ago. It teaches how, from generation to generation, he has endeavored to undo God’s will, pervert God’s ways, and attack God’s people. We are reminded throughout that God defeats him. We also address the plight of Believers in a world where Satan has temporary dominion. Though droves will come “unglued” in this made-for-TV, antiChrist portrayal, new faith will be born in many and old faith will be galvanized in others as we examine the Bible and the world with decidedly Messianic Jewish eyes.

Well known recording artist Paul Wilbur joins me on the series, along with a cast of experts on government, economics, and prophecy. Those experts include Tim LaHaye, Joel Rosenberg, Chuck Missler, and many other noteworthy individuals—bankers, government workers, professors, and more. We really outdid ourselves in gathering an impressive array of commentators to address a timely subject. And not just regarding our own nation: We also will assess the evolving political situations in Israel and events in the rapidly changing European and Arabian worlds.

Now would be an optimal time for you to help us produce this series.

You are not only invited to help this ministry finance the series, but you are invited to help me make it by going with us. Call (214) 696-9760 and ask our travel manager Abel about our June and October trips to Israel.

This ministry films in conjunction with our various Holy Land excursions. Therefore, our Bible Land pilgrims not only see the Holy Land in person but also participate in taking others there via television. As of this writing, we have no plans for filming during the June 7–17 Discovery Tour. This means I’ll be with the group just about all day and every day. Incidentally, even when we are filming, I stay close to the tour group in order to get to know our pilgrims and build friendships that can outlast the trip. Have you ever seen a program in which we interview pilgrims? Those aren’t professional actors. They are you. Come join them, and be them!

You also might want to add the optional June 17–21 Am Israel Chai Extension onto the June 7–17 Discovery Tour. Am Israel Chai is Hebrew for “the people of Israel live.” During this extension we will seek to bless Israel’s people by mingling with them and working among them as volunteers.

If you can come to Israel, by all means make the commitment and do it— now. If you don’t have the wherewithal at this time, then could you still extend yourself to help us get there, hire our actors, build sets, shoot TV there, and make Jesus known from there?

If your response is “I support the ministry of my local church; why do I need to get behind you?” let me say, frankly, that you are right: You don’t need to! My question is: Do you want to? It costs millions of dollars to produce and air high quality, state-of-the-art television programming—all I can do is ask for help. If God puts it on your heart to assist with our missionary endeavor, please act on His prompting and make a donation. Whether or not you assist financially, please join the millions who support us through prayer.

This ministry is going to bless you either way. We believe that the series we’re currently airing, The Warrior King: David-like Leadership for Goliath-like Times, is not only a real winner, but a program guided by Providence. Similarly, I believe that the upcoming series is as timely as any we have ever produced. Though we’re struggling to get it to you, my heart is more overjoyed by its prospects than by the associated pressures.

It’s a great time to be alive, serving God at the ragged edge of human history! Please join me, and be blessed by so doing. Thanks in advance for your prayerful consideration.

Your messenger,

Jeffrey Seif

P.S. Like many nonprofit organizations, Zola Levitt Ministries contributions were down last year—about 3.5% off the previous year’s revenue. Even so, compared to many nonprofits, we performed remarkably well. Still, the whipsaw combination of prices getting higher and donations getting lower does not play out well, and so I am asking for some help—but only if you can.
