Information about Zola's 2005 heart surgery

Zola’s Surgery Went Well

Zola came through the surgery well. The operation was about 4 1/2 hours long, from 12:30 to 5 PM. He was still asleep at 10 PM but they expected him to be up shortly. He was moving around (but didn’t appear to be in pain). He should be moved from the ICU to a regular room tomorrow (Friday).

They took two veins from his chest and one small one from his leg to use for the bypasses. They also found and repaired a small hole in his heart. When he recovers, he should have lots of new energy!

Before the surgery, Zola was in good spirits, joking with the staff.

Todah Raba Lord!!! It’s 4:50am here and I jumped out of bed to see how well you did. I am soooooo happy. In a world gone mad we need to hang on to all the blessings we can and you are absolutely a blessing from God. Last year I was laid up at home for three months with fracture injuries and everyone at work felt sorry for me. But the truth is, I had the time of my life, I had all that time to spend in the Word! It was better than a vacation. You and Yeshua are going to have a blast while you are off recuperating and Holy Spirit is going to shower you with all kinds of wonderful revelation. Enjoy your recovery and I am still praying for you.
    Shalom.

Praise God! 7How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!

8Thy watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing: for they shall see eye to eye, when the LORD shall bring again Zion.

9Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem: for the LORD hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem.
